Xi'an was once the prosperous capital of ancient China, and the ancient Silk Road leading to the West began from here. It was also the largest trading center in the world, hosting envoys, monks, caravans and scholars from all over the world.

The leader of Bestecotours will lead you to Daming Night City, a scenic spot that recreates ancient Xi'an. Every detail here is filled with the elements of the most prosperous Tang Dynasty. Entering this place feels like traveling back to ancient Chang'an City thousands of years ago.

During the immersive ancient imperial banquet, you can experience the court music elements of the Tang and Song dynasties, the Hui Xuan dance from the West, and the imperial dances of the Tang Dynasty. Xi'an

Xi'an carries China's ancient history and has been the capital of 13 dynasties. There are many precious ancient relics from China's past. We will visit the world-famous Emperor Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Museum.

The Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang is of huge scale and has the richest burial objects among all the emperors' tombs in China. It holds an important position in China and is a window for the world to understand the glorious civilization of ancient China. The Terracotta Army formation was the first emperor of China - the Terracotta Army is one of the burial objects, reflecting the magnificent scene of him leading thousands of troops to fight against the six states and unify the country during his lifetime. More than 8,000 terracotta figures each have different appearances, they have different costumes and belong to different ranks of the army, while the non-military terracotta figures were discovered in adjacent pits, including officials, acrobats, strongmen and musicians. The tour guide will tell us the story of this invincible army 2,200 years ago and their amazing tactics.

DAY 3
Xi'an - Tangjiahe Nature Reserve
Visit the ancient city wall of Xi'an. Then take a train to the Giant Panda National Park.

Take the new type of train in China to travel to Tangjiahe Nature Reserve. Tangjiahe Nature Reserve is one of the global hotspots for biodiversity. It is called "one of the regions with the highest encounter rate of rare wild animals at low altitudes in the world". Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve is a forest ecosystem and wildlife type nature reserve focusing on giant pandas, Sichuan golden monkeys, bharal (a type of wild goat), and their habitats.

You will stay in a hotel within the Giant Panda National Park. This is a rare experience. Animals can be seen around at any time. And here you will learn about the survival situation of giant pandas in the wild.



DAY 4
Tangjiahe Nature Reserve

Trace the tracks of giant pandas to understand their wild habitat by identifying bamboo groves, scat, footprints, and mating signs.

Guided by our local expert, we will explore various trails within Tangjiahe Nature Reserve, tracking nationally protected species including the takin, sika deer, serow, roe deer, porcupine, civet, leopard cat, yellow-throated marten, and Tibetan macaque, while also observing birds such as the tawny fish owl, Temminck's tragopan, and other species.
Under the guidance of local experts, we will explore the authentic habitat of giant pandas, searching for their tree hollows, footprints, bamboo feeding signs, and even preferred mating sites. If fortunate, we may also collect and analyze their scat.
After nightfall, we will use thermal imaging cameras to observe nocturnal activities of animals like muntyacs and wild boars. It is possible to spot species including porcupines, civets, and hog badgers.


DAY 5
Tangjiahe Nature Reserve -Pingwu

We will continue our wildlife exploration in Tangjiahe Nature Reserve, where Tibetan macaques may appear unexpectedly. As you wander through the valley, you might spot Asian black bears... Guided by our experts, we'll discover Tangjiahe's unique 'Animal Trails,' tracking wildlife footprints, identifying the pandas' favorite diet, and uncovering the mystery behind their bamboo-eating habits. Our journey will include searching for black bears' 'daybeds' on tree branches, detecting scent markers, and analyzing distinctive tree marks. We'll also examine animal droppings and footprint patterns. The trip to Pingwu County will pass Tibetan villages and temples. The deep reverence for pandas held by the Baima Tibetans has helped make Pingwu home to the world's largest wild panda population.


DAY 6
Pingwu - Dujiangyan

At the Pingwu River Golden Monkey Science and Education Base, we will observe a troop of Sichuan snub-nosed monkeys up close. The Sichuan snub-nosed monkey is an endangered primate species endemic to China. Together with the giant panda, it is known as the "Twin Treasures of China," serving as a flagship species for global biodiversity conservation. The Sichuan snub-nosed monkey has flowing golden fur, a pale blue face, and two protrusions at the corners of the male's mouth, making it strikingly handsome. They prefer to inhabit high-altitude primeval coniferous forests, feeding on lichen hanging from tree branches, and are the rarest of the primate species coexisting with giant pandas in the same area. They have a unique social structure.
We'll drive to Dujiangyan, where we are about to begin a wonderful retreat. The hotel we'll stay at is nestled in a misty valley, skillfully blending local traditions with modern design. With an eco-conscious philosophy at its core, it brings the cycle of life to life in tangible ways. We can also unwind, learn Sichuan cuisine from locals, and practice Tai Chi at the hotel.

Panda Valley

At the Giant Panda Breeding Base—Panda Valley, this research facility aims to achieve the goal of 'wild reintroduction' for giant pandas. Each panda here may be taking its first steps toward 'returning to nature,' and you will witness their growth journey.
Here, you'll also find a group of adorable neighbors—red pandas, who will offer us a unique experience.

DAY 8

Volunteering with giant pandas provides an exceptional opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of these majestic creatures. Through this initiative, we explore panda conservation programs including field rescue, breeding, reintroduction training, and wild release—all globally significant cases. Additionally, we will assume panda keeper responsibilities.
In Sichuan, China, it has gradually become a base for giant panda scientific research and a stable guardian of the panda population.
The habitats selected by giant pandas within protected areas are mainly high mountain valleys, with moderate bamboo forest density under the trees, remaining green year-round, providing an ideal living environment.
We will spend the entire day at a Giant Panda Conservation Center, learning about China's Giant Panda Sustainable Development Project. We will have close contact with giant pandas, entering non-tourist areas of the center for a volunteer experience akin to keeper work. We will learn to feed pandas, prepare their staple bamboo, identify bamboo species, and make nutritious panda cakes. We will also clean enclosures, conduct behavioral observation and analysis, and even handle fresh panda scat. You will receive a globally recognized volunteer certificate. Here, we will learn about panda research and conservation in China and see many precious cases, such as cubs of wild pandas, rescued wild pandas, newborn cubs, and rewilding training cases. The umbrella effect of giant pandas has also protected over 8,000 species in the same ecosystem, maintaining ecological balance.
Pandas thrive not only in bamboo forests but also near snow-capped mountains, where Tibetan communities have lived for generations, protecting these majestic creatures. We will visit the Siguniang Mountain area.
The hotel is nestled in a Tibetan village of the Jiarong Tibetans, an ancient subgroup. The area radiates a primitive, rustic, and enigmatic charm. Their watchtowers, predominantly painted in vibrant red, white, and black, resemble traditional Tibetan castles. Throughout the hotel, Tibetan elements abound, from Jiarong embroidery to stone carvings, all showcasing the region's cultural heritage.
At Tibetan villagers' homes, hospitable locals will invite us to savor butter tea and distinctive Tibetan cuisine. We will also have the opportunity to interact with the community, participating in traditional evening gatherings where everyone dances the Guozhuang dance in a circle while residents sing melodious Tibetan songs.


DAY 9
Siguniang Mountain

Mount Siguniang, revered as the "Eastern Sacred Mountain and Outdoor Paradise," is a paradise for mountaineering enthusiasts. Its perennial snow and ice cover, along with abundant glacial resources, make it a natural wonder. Yaomei Peak bears a striking resemblance to the Matterhorn in the Alps. To the locals, these majestic and picturesque snow-capped mountains are the abode of the gods. In Shuangqiaogou, a breathtaking panorama unfolds where snow-capped peaks, pastures, grasslands, and forests blend into a harmonious tapestry.
For lunch, we'll enjoy a picnic under the snow-capped mountains, featuring authentic Tibetan butter tea and locally sourced ingredients. With a diverse menu and breathtaking scenery, you'll have a truly unforgettable alpine picnic.

DAY 10
Siguniang Mountain - Chengdu

In the morning, we will visit Changping Valley and start our gentle hiking journey. Changping Valley is a typical U-shaped valley formed by the action of glaciers. It has rich landscape layers and a red rock beach created by the orange algae attached to the rocks.

We will return to Chengdu by car. We will stay in a very Chinese-style hotel, located in a busy area but with a long historical building. It has a quaint quadrangle and Chinese courtyard, and has Chinese Zen spirit.

In Chengdu, we can not only taste the authentic Sichuan hot pot, but also have an extremely interesting experience - watching the Sichuan Opera face-changing. This unique art form, which showcases the emotional changes of characters through the rapid replacement of masks, is sure to amaze you!


DAY 11
Chengdu
Stroll through Chengdu and enjoy the Kung Fu tea. We will take you to the airport.

Visit People's Park, immerse yourself in local Chinese life, and personally experience a tea ceremony performance evolved from Chinese Kung Fu.
Under the tour leader's guidance, you will explore Chengdu, a city renowned for its leisurely atmosphere.
